There was a girl her names was Marie. She lived near the beach. She would always go down and find sea shells. Sometimes she would swim or play beach volleyball with her friends. She always loved the ocean since she was a little girl. One day when she was swimming and something grabbed her from below. The creature that grabbed her dragged her down deep into the dark blue water. She tried to scream and tried to swim back up to the top but the creature was too strong. She was running out of breath. She was praying it was all a dream. Marie tried to see what the monster looked like but it was too dark to see. She used her free leg that wasn’t in the monster’s hand and tried to kick. She kicked and kicked and kicked. She was about to give up but then she kicked something that felt like a head. She felt the creature let go of her and screech. She wanted to see what the creature looked like but she was too desperate for air. Kicking her feet hard to try to reach she felt kind of bad kicking the thing that grabbed her. She grasped for air as she reached the top but then she felt the creature grab her ankle. The creature pulled her back down to the floor of the ocean and began to rip each limb off her body. “Where’s Marie?” asked Marie’s mother. “She said she went to go for a swim.” said Marie’s older sister. “She better not be late for dinner again!” her mother said sounding upset. After four hours Marie still hadn’t come home. “Where in the world is she?! She missed dinner again!!” shouted Marie’s mother. “Mom you need to calm down. Maybe she went to a friends house.” said Marie’s younger brother. “She should have at least texted or called one of us!” The next day Marie’s sister and brother went out to ask some of Marie’s friends if they had seen her. “Nope.” said one of Marie’s friends. “Not since three days ago.” said another. “I saw at the beach yesterday.” said Marie’s best friend. “But that was around 2 pm.” Marie’s siblings lost hope. “Where could she be?!” said June (Marie’s sister). “Can’t we just go to the police? It’s been more than 24 hours right?” suggested Alex (Marie’s brother). “Let’s just go home.” Once June and Alex got home they saw police surrounding their house. “What’s going on?” Alex said as he walked up to his mother. “The police said they found Marie…” “Actually?! Where was she?” “They didn’t find her…alive.” their mother said as she started to tear up. “What? What do you mean they didn’t find her alive?!” Alex shout. “The police said a fisherman saw her head sticking out of the water and thought she was passed out but when the fisherman went closer to her head he saw that she was decapitated….” June and Alex were too stunned to speak. A few weeks after Marie’s death and her funeral the beach that she was lasted seen at was closed to the public for multiple years. To this day no one knows what kind of creature that took a young beautiful teenage girl’s life looks like.

For this month, I read Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. This story is about a boy named Paul who is a sophomore in high school. He gets caught in a love triangle with the new boy Noah and his ex boyfriend Kyle. Paul feels like his best friend Joni is drifting away and his other best friend is in a hard situation with his religious parents.

I recommend this book because it’s so romantic and heart warming. It has a lot of drama and so many interesting characters. Words to describe this book are funny, loving, thoughtful, and sweet. It’s a short book but it’s a good one.

My favorite character is Paul. Paul is my favorite character because he cares about other people’s feelings and when he does something wrong or bad he will always try to make up for his mistakes. One of Paul’s character traits is thoughtful. A quote that proves this character trait is, “I wonder if it’s possible to start a new relationship without hurting someone else.” This proves that Paul is thoughtful because even though he wants to start a new relationship with someone else he doesn’t want it to negatively affect someone else he cares about.

My favorite quote from Boy Meets Boy is, “But I want to feel like life matters. I had something real with you, but then the realness scared me. I decided to go for other things instead.” This is my favorite quote because it’s relatable. Other people have gone through something similar to this. It shows that when people love something or they feel something that they usually don’t feel or have never felt it makes them scared, so they try to run away from it or they try to distract themselves from their own feelings.

There are so many people I would invite to dinner, but these are my top three: Antonio Calaveras, Celia Calaveras, and Osora Calaveras. I would invite King Antonio, princess Celia and prince Osora to dinner because I would ask them to bring me to their really big castle and give me a tour. I would want a tour of their castle because the architecture is beautiful and their furniture is very nice as well.

My dream job is lawyer. My dream job is a lawyer because they get payed a lot of money. I would want a lot of money because I would want to buy a big nice house near the beach and a good looking car. I would also want to be a lawyer because I want to help people get justice. I want to put criminals away in prison so that the victim can feel less fear and more safe. I don’t want innocent people walking around worrying that the person who hurt them might come back and hurt them again. A third reason I want to be a lawyer is because it looks like fun.

I am invisible! A weird looking woman came up to me and turned me invisible! I think she was a magician but she looked really old. I didn’t know I was invisible until I saw my friends and waved to them but they walked past me. When I realized I was invisible I immediately thought of robbing a bank because I really wanted the money so bad. I wanted the money so I could buy tickets to my favorite band’s concert. I would also spend that money on buying albums and albums and albums! I would really also love to buy more clothes. I really want to travel around the world so I would probably buy plane tickets to the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, and Australia! I love reading to I would definitely buy a bunch of books. I would buy so many books that I would have my own library in my home. Another thing I would do if I was invisible is that I would go into places that I’m not allowed in like R rated movies at the movie theater. The last thing I would do if I was invisible is that I would vandalize buildings and cars with spray paint. I would write whatever comes to my mind like a heart or a flower or a famous person.

For this month I read Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman. This story is about two boys named Nick and Charlie. Nick and Charlie have been officially dating for three months and all their friends knew but one. When they went on a school trip to Paris, Nick wanted to see his dad that he hasn’t seen in a long time but his dad isn’t the most reliable person. Charlie was eating less and less and no one seemed to really notice but Nick. There was a party that all of their friends were going to at and that’s when they decided to come out to everyone.

I recommend this book because it’s very romantic, heartwarming, and sweet. It’s also very interesting. It talks about mental health, family issues, relationship problems, and the difficulties of being gay. It can get serious but it’s also very heartwarming and silly.

My favorite character is Nick Nelson. Nick is my favorite character because he is very  sweet to everyone, tries his best to make everyone feel happy and is very considerate. One of his character traits is considerate. A quote that proves this is when Nick said, “Maybe that’s a good idea. I’m so sorry. I don’t want him to start picking on you too.” This evidence proves Nick is considerate because he didn’t want his homophobic brother to start bullying Charlie because Charlie’s gay. Nick knew how badly bullied Charlie was last year for being gay and how that put Charlie in a very bad mental state so Nick told Charlie politely to leave because he didn’t want Charlie doesn’t feel worse about himself.

My favorite quote from Heartstopper Volume 3 is, “Oh. You’re being gay. Good job. Carry on.” This is my favorite quote because when Darcy accidentally walked in on Nick and Charlie making out she made a silly joke by saying that, which I thought was really funny that’s why this is my favorite quote.

It was a hot summer day so me and my friend decided to go to the pool. We went to the pool but I didn’t know how to swim in the deep end so I stayed on the more shallow side. My friend loved swimming in the deep so she was there most  of the time. I felt kind of alone since it was just the two of us at the pool. I decided to go closer to the deep side while grabbing on to the ledge. I ask my friend if she was willing to teach me how to swim in the deep end and she said yes. I kind of knew how to swim because my cousin taught me but I haven’t been in a pool for a long time that I forgot how to swim. After thirty minutes I realized that I knew how to swim and I felt really dumb because how does one forget how to swim? While we were swimming my friend said we should throw coins in the water and try to swim down to get them. I agreed to do it because I thought I could beat her. We threw a couple of coins and we swam down to get them. I tried to grab two but I couldn’t pick it up and I needed to get air so I swam back up with no coins. My friend came up and she already had two coins. I went back down and grab one just before I went back up for air. When I came back up I left the coin on the ledge of the pool. I went back down a saw a quarter so I decided to go for it. I tried to swim but I started to run out of air and needed to get back to the surface but I didn’t care and I desperately wanted to get that quarter. I kept swimming down and tried to push myself to keep swimming. I felt like I was swimming down a never ending pool. I finally reach the coin a quickly grabbed it but it fell out of my hand and I tried to grab it again and got it. I was swimming back up and my ear started to hurt really bad. I tried to swim faster and faster but I felt like I could never reach the top. I tried to take a breath but I accidentally swallowed water and some water also went up my nose. I felt like I couldn’t breathe and I thought I was going to die. When I reached the top I was coughing and trying to get all the water out of my nose. I was in pain because the pressure water was too much pressure for my ear. I was freaking out but them bony friend saw me and came to help me. She helped me swim to the ledge and I got out and sat there coughing. She asked me if I was okay and I said I was okay but I told her my ear was in pain. She went to go get my mom and her mom when they came they asked what happened and I explained to them what happened. Me and my friend had to change back to our normal clothes so we did and we spent the rest of the day hanging out in her room together.

“We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” is a quote from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. The quote means that just because something is easy to say or do doesn’t mean it’s the right thing and sometimes the right thing is harder to do either way you still have to face it. This quote relates to me because when I was in 6th grade I didn’t want to solve a math problem on a math test because I thought it was so hard. But instead I thought it would be easier to just guess so that’s what I did. I thought it was the right thing to do just because I thought the question was too hard. When I got my math test back I got a lot of questions wrong because I guessed instead of trying my best and actually trying to think of a solution. I realized that I should have done the right thing even if it took me a little longer than other kids.

My hero is my mother. My hero is my mother because when I was a baby she worked two jobs and still took care of me and showed me so much love. She worked most almost all day but when she wasn’t working she would always spend time with me even if she ways tired and exhausted. Another reason my mother is my hero is because she also encourages me to keep going whenever I feel like giving up. She always knows how to make me keep pushing forward and she is always by my side when I need help. A third reason why my mom is my hero is because she puts me before everything. She is always there for me and will do anything to help me.
